Why a new blog?

This is the inaugural posting in my new music blog. I think that any regular reader of my blog "Lord Celery" would suspect that music is a very important part of my life. Besides the song-subjects, I try (when I remember to do so) to add a "Listening to..." comment at the end of postings. I have always hoped that perhaps my doing so would occasionally introduce somebody to music that's new to him or her.

Recently, I was thinking about adding links to my favorite artists on the front page of "Lord Celery". Then I considered how cumbersome that would become.

So this morning I decided to simply launch a separate blog where I'll share thoughts about favorite artists, new music discoveries, links to artists and music news sources, etc, etc. I know I won't write here as often as I do in my diary-blog "Lord Celery", but at least this will provide an outlet for that stuff swimming around in my auditory cortex all the time.

I encourage and welcome comments and suggestions -- PLEASE! I hope that "Auditory Cortex" will be interesting to an audience bigger than just me!

So stay tuned...and please excuse yet another example of self-indulgence.
